DnD forever!

I Am A: Neutral Good GnomeRanger Thief

Alignment:
Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Race:
Gnomes are also short, like dwarves, but much skinnier. They have no beards, and are very inclined towards technology, although they have been known to dabble in magic, too. They tend to be fun-loving and fond of jokes and humor. Some gnomes live underground, and some live in cities and villages. They are very tolerant of other races, and are generally well-liked, though occasionally considered frivolous.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Thieves are the most roguish of the classes. They are sneaky and nimble-fingered, and have skills with traps and locks. While not all use these skills for burglary, that is a common occupation of this class.

Deity:
Baervan Wildwanderer is the Neutral Good gnomish god of forests, travel, and nature. He is also known as the Masked Leaf. His avatar is always accompanied by an intelligent, giant raccoon, named Chiktikka Fastpaws. His followers, like him, enjoy the outdoors and work to protect it and guard those who also enjoy it. Their preferred weapon is the halfspear.

Love actually...

... is a really good movie.

It portrays a ton of different kinds of love, and they all seem to fit together.

I'm out at my mom's place alone (except for 6 animals). I thought I'd be kinda lonely stranded out in the middle of nowhere. There isn't even high speed internet! But this has been an extremely relaxing night. Much better than worrying about who I'll be intruding apon for a place to spend the night.

Ahhhhhhhh, Chris time :)

Well, turns out the Penn & Teller show is not showing this whole week. So uhh, we won't be going to it.

We are going to go see Crazy Girls instead :D

EDIT: broken link should be fixed now, stupid sessions.

The Hotel

I am staying in the Luxor . This place looks amazing from the outside. It's a huge pyramid (I'm guessing around 50 stories) with a bright spotlight on top. The inside is even better.

All the rooms are along the outside wall. The casino area is huge, of course. The inside has no supports. There is room for something like a small city to be contained within the hotel area. Massive is the best word to describe it.

Well, with no internal supports, and a sloped outside wall you might be wondering where all the elevators are. There are no elevators because there is no strictly vertical access. Instead there are inclinators. Inclinators are kinda like elevators, but they go sideways as much as they go upwards.

About that last post. I was mostly down about losing $20 so fast. I am getting A vegas experience, just not the seedy vegas experience. We arn't just staying in the hotel room, and I've seen quite a bit. I'm really glad I can out here.

Haha, oh yeah. So one day it's around 30% humidity (normal is 10%), and one of the bellhops was complaining about the humidity :)

Vegas, the update

So, the reason I came out here was defcon .

Defcon was awesome. Almost every talk I went to was a keeper, and many will directly help me at work (I love my job). One of the talks was unreal. dns was made to translate named internet addresses (such as www.google.com) into real internet adddresses (66.102.7.147). A guy took dns and made a file transfer protocal out of it. I got a couple funny dork shirts, and an awesome backpack.

As for The Vegas Experience. I'm not getting it. I'm vaugly disapointed but I came here with a bunch of dorks. These people are really starting to get on my nerves. I was expecting this. We almost went to a free strip club tonight, but the two guys I was with were obviously not into it. We've gone drinking a couple times, but I havn't really gotten drunk. It's really hard to bar hop at a place were bars are 15 minute walks from each other.

I have done some gambling. First time I gambled was at a blackjack machine, and I went from $1 to $5. Awesome.

Second time I plopped $20 into a video poker machine and almost immediatly went to $0. Ok, so I lost some money, whatever, I won a few hands.

Less than an hour ago I sat down at my first table. A nice little $2 blackjack table on the original strip. I traded $20 for chips, and proceded to get an unbelievable run of cards. For 10 hands in a row, I didn't even need to do anything, 'cause for 10 hands in a row I got The Worste Hand Imaginable. Thats right, I just dropped $20 on blackjack on 10 hands and didn't win a single hand. I don't think I could play any of the hands better than I did, and the guys I went with tell me the same thing.
